Partcipants will identify the diff erence between formal and informal texts in the use of language and style, explore the vocabulary used in forms and discuss the purpose of different types of forms in the workplace.
Participants will practice reading skills and highlight opportunities for practical application within the manufacturing sector, in particular, in health and safety and quality assurance, identify the main points in a text and practical application in the work environment, and explore the use of COSHH safety symbols in the workplace.
Participants will gain a knowledge of when to use commas and apostrophes, an understanding of what a sentence is within identifi ed/named key safety signs, comple an activity on health and safety, compile sentences relating to the health and safety environment in which they work.
