ProVQ implemented the Framework 5 project in order to effectively use offline technology to create an inclusive Apprenticeship Framework Tracker to support progression, reduce administration, enhance the e-portfolio system and perform detailed trends analysis of progress rates.
This project developed processes and resources on Moodle to support a peer mentor programme for learners in the Computing department who find the transition from school to College or between college levels difficult and who can sometimes be more effectively supported by other students than by a member of staff.
TDM is a work-based provider that spends a significant part of its time encouraging and helping other providers to embed technology within their own provision. TDM had encountered problems in trying to embed reflective e-portfolios within the sector and through this project added a PDF print function to Mahara views to increase the uptake, therefore encouraging reflective learning in the sector.
This project looked to build on A4e’s initial scoping of real-time 3D internet as a teaching & learning tool by consulting trainers and learners in its national Vox Centres. Ideas gathered from staff were translated into a methodology that developers at Teesside University’s d lab could interpret and build a test area for the improved induction and assessment of Vox Centre learners.
