Working within the design industry, this project set out to explore, develop and pilot a new way of sector-focused working. The project aimed to bring together a leading design employer, Lloyd Northover, with Amersham and Wycombe College to provide opportunities for BTEC Art and Design students to work alongside industry professionals.
In 2006 SAVO was commissioned by the Governance Hub to develop and maintain an on-line learning platform to deliver Trustee Training. Following the success of this program (which currently has over 2.500 learners signed up) SAVO made the commitment in 2008 to convert its portfolio of paper based and CD Toolkits to be web delivered (www.practicaltoolkits.org.uk)
In 2008 the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) amended its Guidance Notes to Statutory Authorities for NLDC funding, making it a requirement for them to engage with their Third Sector Learning Consortium to co-manage this funding. (The LSC had invested in the formation of Third Sector Consortia across the country and wanted to see them being used).
