This curriculum project aimed to improve achievement in A level Biology, a significant factor in which was the very varied level 2 science knowledge and skills of students. M-learning facilitated this through personalised learning and active/interactive independent learning that both enthused and challenged the students.
The KODE project aimed to provide practical, accessible and sustainable resources to support teaching teams to translate models of blended curriculum delivery into concrete learning experiences. It concentrated on seven specific models which had
emerged from the earlier JISC-funded Curriculum Delivery KUBE project.
This project sought to improve engagement with new, hard-to-reach, younger learners by providing introductory courses in i-media technology at a community location in a deprived area. The project improved links in the community and with the mentor organisation, as well as generating the expertise and software to offer this type of course in the future.
This resource relates to one of a series of collaborative development projects on the themes of Getting people into work and Apprenticeships. Each project was coordinated by a lead provider, who recruited partner providers to work together to achieve the project objectives. Seven work based learning providers make up the Careers Exchange partnership. The partnership produced a scheme of work, lesson plans and teaching and learning resources to deliver the new Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Volunteer Management, and trialled the framework with a group of apprentices.
