Creative Education was commissioned to manage 15 collaborative projects that improved the readiness to deliver the new Functional Skills specifications from September, 2019. Working with 34 providers from across the education and charity sectors, our Functional Skills Collaborative Projects Programme ran from September 2018 to June 2019 and directly or indirectly engaged with almost 2,200 practitioners and learners.

Topic 4 entitled 'My time' contains four units: (i) Socialising, (ii) My interests, (iii) Work and (iv) My community. This file contains Units (ii) My interests, (iii) Work and (iv) My community, only. Each unit contains a series of learning activities and resources to support practitioners to deliver the topic to new to ESOL learners.

Ensuring learners with SEND are supported by education and training providers is a sign of an inclusive approach to improving their opportunities - in education, in employment and in leading meaningful lives. The information in this brochure shows the support available from the Education and Training Foundation for leaders, managers and practitioners in the Further Education and Training sector.
 

Phones, tablet and computers have loads of features built-in which can help you read, write and communicate.  

This resource consists of a printed poster which helps get the word out to learners and staff about these features.  They can then access short videos on how to use the features.
