LLU+ (whilst based at London South Bank University), developed and delivered quite a few ‘Maths with ESOL’ type courses and CPD modules – for both ESOL and Numeracy teachers. It’s important to focus on grammatical structures (e.g. conditionals, use of modals, tenses, etc.) as well as vocabulary, and pronunciation too. Suggested use: Used to support a course in time and money skills. Have blue and red coloured pencils handy as learners can use these to differentiate between the long and short hands on the clocks - many LLDD learners find drawing hands of differing lengths tricky.
