City College Norwich, ETF's Centre for Excellence in SEND (community) held a short webinar, exploring the benefits for employers to engage with learners with SEND and understand what employers really want. They shared their experiences and impact during the climate of COVID 19 of engaging and securing employment for learners with SEND. The webinar and associated PPT were to support providers to have the tools and knowledge to understand what employers really want and how to engage them effectively.

A comprehensive step by step approach to understanding and using RARPA
This new resource explains the RARPA process and how it can be effectively implemented for learners with SEND. It brings together the information providers need to know about recent changes in national policy and practice for learners with SEND including a self audit tool to support continuous quality improvement. There are links to resources developed by providers and a range of person-centred thinking tools to ensure the learner voice remains central to the RARPA process.
How do we make it more likely that we create an environment so that learning is an emotionally positive experience? How does our own behaviour impact on those around us? This new guide created with Pivotal Education and Works 4 U provides some ideas to support those working in the FE sector to ensure that learning is an emotionally nurturing experience increasing the likelihood of learner success.
This guide is to help learning support staff. It provides examples of Covid-19 safe strategies that can be employed for different performance criteria within the National Occupational Standards for learning support staff. In addition is an activity for learning support staff to reflect on their own working practices and the strategies they can adopt.

The Inclusive Employer Induction Tolkit was produced by City College Norwich, ETF's Centre for Excellence in SEND (community). This toolkit shares the current practices at CCN in delivering induction activities to employers of placements and apprenticeships.
The tools and techniques within the toolkit are derived from tried and tested tools that have been used extensively with employers. Each tool has a generic description and can be adapted by you in accordance with the requirements of the organisation.
