Teach Too: Fareport Training: retail skills swap - support for trainees and apprentices

Teach Too is about encouraging people from different industries to spend time teaching their work through curriculum development, promoting the practice of teachers and trainers updating their industry experience and helping to build genuine collaborative arrangements between employer and providers.The assessing team at Fareport Training worked collaboratively with the retail store managers to upskill employees and apprentices using a skills identification process. Following the initial skills identification, employees were paired with “buddies” for skills coaching and mentoring.

ESOL Support pack for catering

This material supplements the four Catering modules when they are being used with learners whose first language is not English (ESOL). It contains straightforward suggestions about how to adapt material for the needs of ESOL learners, identifying issues faced by ESOL learners and making the material more accessible. ESOL Access for ALL

ESOL Access for All is intended to support inclusive learning for bilingual learners with learning difficulties or disabilities. It is modelled on the original Access for All but directly linked to the ESOL Core Curriculum. In addition, it updates the original content of Introducing Access for All2, expands it and includes issues that are particularly relevant to bilingual learners and their teachers. It is intended as a working document that you use to support your planning, teaching and understanding.

Teach Too: UKTD: working with SMEs to develop online learning in the context of hairdressing apprenticeships

Within the context of hairdressing apprenticeships, this project investigated how the trend in social media and online apps could make on-line learning possible for small business employers and their learners.

The project involved collaboration between a training organisation and a web site design and digital marketing firm, to develop the skills of trainers and assessors delivering the digital marketing qualification.
