Cambridge County Council Adult Learning and Skills: VLE platforms for tutors in contracted and direct delivery provision

This project was intended to inform the organisation about the capability, viability and efficacy of online induction for specific courses to move paper-based induction and initial assessment out of the classroom and lesson time, while also improving tutors’ digital/ ILT skills and the learner experience.

Improving services for employers: Vision West Nottinghamshire College

This resource comprises the outputs from one of a series of projects to test a range of approaches to improving and extending training and related business services for employers. The college has a large Skills Funding Agency Apprenticeship College contract and wanted to explore how to better support apprentices in their workplace to maintain their engagement and motivation. Involving employers in this process has been seen to have a positive impact, leading to lower drop-out rates, improved attendance and timely completion.

Prevista partnership: Developing our capacity to deliver quality Apprenticeships

This resource relates to one of a series of collaborative development projects on the themes of Getting people into work and Apprenticeships. Each project was coordinated by a lead provider, who recruited partner providers to work together to achieve the project objectives. The Prevista partnership involved four work based learning providers and a College working together to improve the quality of their Apprenticeship provision. They tested new ways of working and created a guide for the innovations tested.

KEITS partnership: Growing Apprenticeships and providing effective feedback to prospective apprentices

This resource relates to one of a series of collaborative development projects on the themes of Getting people into work and Apprenticeships. Each project was coordinated by a lead provider, who recruited partner providers to work together to achieve the project objectives. The KEITS Ltd partnership worked on developing understanding of the range of opportunities available to maximise funding and progression into and through Apprenticeships. Twelve partners joined the project in phase two, when the project focused on providing feedback to Apprenticeship applicants.
