Walsall College - Black Country Partnership Learning Project

This resource comprises the report and resources developed by the Equality and Diversity Partnership Project led by Walsall College in 2009-10. This project aimed to develop an online resource to help Classroom Support Assistants (CSAs) to broaden their awareness of E&D to enable them to increase personalisation of support and provide more effective support for all learners and increase their own job satisfaction. The resources included are the final report and a guide to using the E&D Moodle.

Stepping Up in Sustainability: Blackpool and the Fylde College - Student Entitlement to Education for Sustainable Development

The project was designed to enable a better understanding of sustainable development (SD) amongst tutors, and allow them to experiment with SD within different areas of the curriculum. The project aimed to: develop a strategy to embed SD into all curriculum areas; create piloted and evaluated SD activities and lesson plans in four curriculum areas; educate staff on the subject of SD; work with a wide variety of staff to develop SD pedagogies; and create an online ESD resource bank for FE and HE tutors offering lesson plans and resources that can be adapted to suit each curriculum area.

Stepping Up in Sustainability: Cambridge Regional College - Developing change agents to support sustainability issues within academic roles

This project looked to develop two change-agents for each of four academic areas (hair and beauty, engineering, essential skills and motor vehicle). One agent would be chosen from the academic team, the other, such as technicians or Operations Leaders, from the support team. The project created a VLE area from which material relating to sustainability could be downloaded.

National Star College Consortium: Ark-Hive learning resources web portal for ISPs

This project arose from an identified lack of age-appropriate teaching and learning resources for adult learners at Independent Specialist Colleges. The project created a web portal (the ArkHive) to hold a range of existing and newly-developed age appropriate resources that contain reviews by users. The website is now live at www.ark-hive.co.uk.
