Project synopsis
The project was to establish the scope for 12 large London colleges, led by Tower Hamlets College, to identify and then develop with projects under the RE:FIT framework to improve energy efficiency. While four colleges initially expressed interest, participation diminished, as it proved impossible to find common ground that would give rise to projects of sufficient size (over £500,000) to take forward to feasibility study and then tender.
The project demonstrated some key findings which have been used to improve course attendance and participation, and overall increase the number of contractors who are able to install renewable energy systems.
This project focused on providing a flexible e-numeracy course that has clear benefits for both adult learners and business organisations, specifically those in sustainable industries.
The focus of this project was to investigate methods of sustainably reducing the environmental impact of IT in the FE and the wider business sector through case studies, technical articles, workshops and the development of a one stop shop website.
Our Lean Working Knowledge Transfer project was designed to pioneer new distinctive ways to transform services for learners whilst simultaneously reducing the delivery costs involved.
