The focus of this project was to explore strategies that could motivate learners, generate and develop their ideas, and improve the quality of their writing.

What is this about and what were the main findings: 

Teachers and learning support assistants trialled a range of resources and methods, including: dialogic questioning, live modelling, excerpts from books, alternative peer assessment and regular informal conversations. The project reported that there had been a very positive impact on collaboration amongst staff, and that learners' writing had improved as a result of a more inclusive approach.
