The aim of the project was to address the stereotypical negative awareness of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) which is common in land based industries, and embed EDI within teaching and learning in all Sussex colleges through a programme of exchange of best practice and staff CPD. A number of outputs and outcomes were delivered, such as the integration of two college and community groups via a programme of joint outdoor activities. It also led to a sustained partnership between the Colleges and an inner-city trust in the form of joint activity programmes.
