This study explored the extent to which a flipped-classroom approach using digital resources would impact on learner engagement and progression in Functional Skills English.
This study explores the potential for technology-based solutions to help overcome the need to rush delivery to soldiers between exercises and deployment.
This study sampled 10 trainers and a cohort of 25 Army apprentices preparing for Functional Skills English exams. This was supported by creating and testing flipped resources. Emerging findings indicated that learners enjoyed having access to digital materials before the classroom sessions, as it enabled them to review the information at their own pace, and classroom time could be spent applying and exploring newly acquired knowledge.
