The projects designed, piloted and delivered activity in one or more of the above strands, including workshops, study or exchange visits, coaching and mentoring, consultancy and the development of self assessment tools. ICeGS designed and piloted a programme based on the principles of action learning to support work based learning managers and curriculum leaders to develop a cluster approach to enhance employer engagement.

Developing Apprenticeships - Remploy: Working with disabled learners

This project's aim was to deliver three ‘Working with Disabled Apprentices’ consultancy workshops in Oldham, Birmingham and London designed to increase the number of disabled people completing Apprenticeship programmes.

Employer responsiveness - Chichester College: Employer Responsiveness Matters

The aim of this project was to work with other providers who deliver employer responsive provision to help the college improve their services and increase their revenue from this engagement.

Rewards Training with SCTP and partners: Spreading the Word - taking apprenticeships in Sussex to employers

The project aimed to promote apprenticeships to employers through the attendance of business conventions and business representative groups with a view to generating genuine apprenticeship vacancies and supporting employers to an introduction to an appropriate training provider and tracking progress to the point of start.

Shropshire County Training - achieving substantial cost savings through collaborative delivery of functional skills

Through this project, Shropshire County Training aimed to work collaboratively in identifying opportunities to deliver Functional Skills support within very rural areas in a more cost effective way. The project looked to identify innovative ways of delivering Functional Skills in rural areas through reducing the number of support visits necessary to enable learners to achieve their Apprenticeship framework requirements. The projected cumulative total of savings was £50,000 across the five partner organisations during the first year.

Learning South West: Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) in Apprenticeships

The projects designed, piloted and delivered activity in one or more of the above strands, including workshops, study or exchange visits, coaching and mentoring, consultancy and the development of self assessment tools. Through this project, the Learning South West/South West Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (SWCETT) developed and piloted a train the trainer event to 51 providers who offer Apprenticeships.
