Resource Type:

PID:
eg:6253
Description:

This set of resources relates to one of nine projects focusing on developing Apprenticeships, employer responsiveness and pre-employment provision. The projects designed, piloted and delivered activity in one or more of the above strands, including workshops, study or exchange visits, coaching and mentoring, consultancy and the development of self assessment tools. Through this project, the Learning South West/South West Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (SWCETT) developed and piloted a train the trainer event to 51 providers who offer Apprenticeships. The training focused on building personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS) among apprentice learners, encouraging an approach which empowers the apprentice learner, gives employers a practical way to become involved in the Apprenticeship curriculum and staff training, and demonstrates the benefits of investment in Apprenticeships, work-based learning and training trainers.
