This resource relates to one of a series of collaborative development projects on the themes of Getting people into work and Apprenticeships. Each project was coordinated by a lead provider, who recruited partner providers to work together to achieve the project objectives. The Prevista partnership involved four work based learning providers and a College working together to improve the quality of their Apprenticeship provision. They tested new ways of working and created a guide for the innovations tested.

Project synopsis
The two Colleges have investigated methods of collecting quality feedback from students that can help teachers and managers to assess the quality of teaching and learning without relying solely on formal lesson observation. Both Colleges have been able to make improvements to their use of learner feedback and both have made use of new technology to achieve this.
St. Joseph’s Specialist School and College uses the Enterprise theme to tie together its 14 -19 curriculum and value the role of learner voice in all aspects of the school. The school has used the medium of film to display this work for the benefit of the learners.

College Start (provision for students with learning difficulties) has struggled to capture the ‘student voice’ effectively. Evidence for this could be found in internal inspection reports and through observation of teaching and learning. The introduction of cross college questionnaires has meant that students who are unable to access Information Technology were not having their voice heard.
