Dyslexia starter kit

The Dyslexia Starter Kit aims to help you review your provision for dyslexic learners, or to help less experienced providers develop dyslexia support from scratch by: Supporting developments that will improve the quality of your dyslexia support offer; Enhancing consideration of equality, diversity and inclusion; and Improving learner achievement. It links to a variety of resources in the Excellence Gateway and to the Dyslexia toolkit on the Foundation Online Learning environment.

CPD starter kit

This starter kit is aimed at leaders, managers and practitioners and provides guidance on providing continuing professional development for staff in embedding English, maths and ESOL across the curriculum. Although the resource uses the old Skills for Life terms: literacy, numeracy and language, to describe these subjects all the strategies are still valid. Users should be aware that the documents in the Excellence Gateway identified in this resource may also use the old terminology.

Numeracy starter kit

This numeracy starter kit provides links to useful resources to help providers deliver maths, numeracy and functional maths in a variety of contexts. It will help new providers to get started and provide existing providers with useful advice on improving their delivery.

Sustainability Skills for Growth - research report

This research project sought to explore the relationship between sustainability and economic growth and how this relationship should be strengthened and developed. The report is based on a survey of practitioners across the FE and skills sector. The research explored sustainability skills, their relevance to employment, employers and business, and the opportunities challenges and barriers to the FE and skills sector in leading the development of those skills.

Employer responsiveness - AoC-Create: Pre-employment provision readiness self-assessment and webinars

This set of resources relates to one of nine projects focusing on developing Apprenticeships, employer responsiveness and pre-employment provision.
