The focus of the research was to analyse and reflect systematically upon the growth of higher level apprenticeships development and delivery through analysis of learner records, surveys and interviews in order to explore the growth and policy development potential of Higher Apprenticeships.

What is this about and what were the main findings: 

The report found that effective Higher Apprenticeship providers need tight relationships with their relevant sectors and employers to better understand the professions, be flexible and adaptable, and be designed for businesses rather than for developers or providers. Funding was highlighted as an important issue for providers. The research also highlighted the need for further work to develop an understanding of Higher Apprenticeships amongs employers, learners and in schools
