This project explored how to increase engagement and wider employability skills amongst Functional Skills Maths learners.

What is this about and what were the main findings:

These two colleges developed holistic remote learning approaches with two different groups of learners: apprentices working in the food industry, and full-time BTEC students from Agriculture, Animal Care and Equine etc. They involved using Century (an online learning platform using AI), MS Teams and Forms, and creating videos and 'how to' presentations. The team reported that the project had raised learner confidence in both Maths and their digital skills, which had also developed their employability skills.
