Principal focus of the project:

The project focus was on streamlining information, advice, and guidance process paperwork while ensuring the documentation remained appropriate to the needs of the stakeholders. The development process merged action planning forms and reduced the planning section in individual learning plans, which learners had found to be too in depth. This was all done while ensuring that all stakeholders fully understood the learning objectives of the process.

What is this about and what were the main findings:

After introducing the new Information, Advice, and Guidance documentation in a trial, it was well received by learners and employers, with reduced time spent on paperwork and a commitment to widening the process to review other quality documents. The streamlining led to an increase (~40%) of employer engagement, up front in-depth discussions that needs are being met, and more learner workshops providing them with face-to-face contact and support. Data was gathered from observation of practice.
