The Creative Futures outstanding teaching, learning and assessment technical skills project aimed to drive the development of an employer-focused curriculum through a three-tiered approach, involving work shadowing, CPD and co-delivery by employer partners.
The project aims were to:
- Improved links between educators and employers
- Enhanced teaching, learning and assessment of industry-relevant technical skills, leading to the development of future talent to meet the needs of the growing creative sector.
- awareness of their future role in technical education, and increased input into the curriculum by employers that meets local need
The project partners included Wakefield College, Oldham College, Blackburn College, in-situ, R5, Anita Burrows, Concept 4, Super Slow Way, Curious Minds, Creative Lancashire, Panaz, Arteology, and Julie Miles
Nelson and Colne College wrote this case study in January 2018.
The ETF edited and reformatted the case study to improve accessibility for people who use screen readers, but some issues remain in the accompanying documents and the Indesign resource makes extensive use of screenshots and it has not proved possible to describe these sufficiently using alternative text to add value when using a screen reader.
