Principal focus of the project:

The project aimed to develop visual resources and learning methods to support learners' understanding of instructional language, with a focus on digital terminology.

What is this about and what were the main findings:

ESOL and ICT tutors worked collaboratively to develop an annotated graphical glossary of digital terms. It was hoped this would improve understanding, and long-term memory retention, giving  learners the confidence to use terminology fluently and consistently. The tutors reported that once the language barriers were removed, learners were surpassing expectations and confidently able to take responsibility for their own learning.
