Morley College Consortium: The potential of eILPs to drive increased engagement with Moodle by practitioners and learners in ACL

eg:6263

The project set out to explore the potential of eILPs (electronic Individual Learning Plans) to drive increased engagement with Moodle by practitioners and learners. In contrast with FE and HE institutions, ACL providers often struggle to develop use of VLEs, due to factors including: large numbers of part-time staff and learners; a wide range of IT skills in both groups; small eLearning training and support teams; and limited IT resources.

ACER: Developing a cross-regional procurement service to generate substantial savings

eg:6262

This project sought to embed sustainable procurement skills and knowledge within colleges in London and the East of England, ensuring EU compliance and mitigating the risk of legal challenge. The project delivered total savings of over £330,000 at the time of publication – surpassing the target of £80,000, resulting in a 16.5 x ROI.

Humber Learning Consortium (HLC): Building a shared data management service for regionally dispersed providers

eg:6260

HLC is a ‘hub and spoke’ delivery model where the volumes of data passing through HLC were acting as a bottleneck in terms of operational efficiency and future growth potential. The case study shows how, following an Ofsted inspection, the consortium co-managed the capture, processing and use of learner data across organisations.

Blackburn College Consortium: Pennine Lancashire Governors Portal

eg:6257

The aim of this project was to improve communication and sharing of best practice and information between College Governors within their respective colleges and across Pennine Lancashire through a Pennine Lancashire Governors Portal. The project sought to enable Governors to share common information and resources, and to positively impact on the colleges and the wider FE sector.
