Entrepreneurial Case Study 4: Calderdale College

eg:1748

This case study explores how over two years the College has introduced an organisational structure for enterprise and entrepreneurship which embeds strategic development into its core activities. Enterprise and Entrepreneurship skills are prioritised by the college because such an approach is seen to be employer responsive, to add value to the learning experience, and to increase awareness and understanding of progression opportunities through enterprise and self-employment.

Entrepreneurial Case Study 2: Moulton College

eg:1746

The case study illustrates how all Moulton College students undertake commercial experience at an appropriate standard, typically amounting to a day a week, supported through a number of commercial enterprises within the college which generate business benefits and community services as well as learning. This is set within the ethos of Moulton to train and produce students who are “work-ready”. This approach has led to the commercial enterprises contributing over 11% of the College’s annual turnover of nearly £28.5m.
