Hartlepool College of Further Education - Roots to Success

Walsall Adult and Community College exists to meet the learning and training needs of adults in Walsall and to strengthen their prospects for independent living, employment and self-employment and is committed to stimulating enterprise activities with our client group. The organisation has a social enterprise ‘WacciCrafts’ which involves the creation, distribution and retail of a range of products from food to fashion to jewellery.

Isle of Wight College: Piloting the It's My Community toolkit

On the back of The Isle of Wight being identified by the Office of National Statistics as an employment blackspot, this pilot used the It's My Community toolkit to bring learners and the business community together to investigate ways to stimulate employment and job creation. The toolkit helped learners frame the questions asked during the project, and broadened the learners thinking about community and its relationship with local business.

Social Enterprise Ambassadors - Longden Ltd

Taking part in the Social Enterprise Ambassadors' Programme, Longden looked to increase collaboration between themselves as a learning and skills provider and the West Midlands social enterprise sector. Further, Longden wished to to build their capacity to create a Social Enterprise by refining the work that they do within the five Local Authorities to create self sustaining activities and contributing to a philosophy of doing more for less.
