This study focusses on the perceptions and indirect impacts of these kind of observations on FE teachers, and whether removing judgements would make a difference.

What is this about and what were the main findings: 

A combination of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to sample 6 experienced FE teachers. The findings concluded that graded observations were seen as a high-stakes process that caused significant stress and anxiety. At the same time, teachers recognised the value that an improved observation process could bring - assuming the elimination of grades.
