Project Synopsis
The project focussed on a wide range of flexible, personalised provision with clear progression routes to engage and meet the needs of the most vulnerable young people at risk of becoming ‘Not in Employment, Education and Training’ (NEET). By widening perceptions and developing confidence, resilience and transferable skills within an accredited framework and lead to a smooth transition into post 16 education. The dedicated College/Home Liaison Officer, long-term work with parents/carers and supporting the progress of learners was effective in re-engaging learners. This also enabled early intervention in identifying and supporting the under-lying issues which often lead to poor attendance
