The project sought to explore how discussion could help develop learners' use of language, how it could motivate them to speak "from within", and what tutors can do to manage this process
What is this about and what were the main findings:
The main recommendations from the case study were that tutors need to re-evaluate the role and purpose of discussion in their classrooms, learners should be encouraged to participate in critical discussions in which they draw on experiences, and those discussions should be used to inform future learning in a holistic fashion
