Building on our existing partnership with delivering institutions and employers, we will develop and deliver from September 2012 an award suite for current and potential teachers in the Lifelong Learning sector.
Working with LSIS and our partner colleges, we have engaged with learners and employers to develop an award suite of initial teacher education qualifications. This new suite was based on the following principles:
1) developing employer engagement
2) flexibility of options and recognition of prior learning to widen participation
3) developing trainee employability skills
4) develop, validate and promote English, mathematics and ESOL teacher training
qualifications
