This project focused on collaborating and liaising with employers to share effective practice, set targets, establish connections between colleges and external companies, all with a view to ensuring learners are better prepared for external assessments and improving future practice and policies for apprentices. The project also focused on better connecting employer partners with local colleges to enable greater access to future apprentices.

What is this about and what were the main findings: 

The study found that both staff and students were better prepared for the external assessments, stronger partnerships were formed with employers and colleges. Significant improvements in exam results were projected. There was also a change of culture among staff regarding knowledge and skills, and improved attendance on both the business courses and external assessments.
