Principal focus of the project:

The project aimed to assess how gamification could develop the teachers’ activity toolkit to create rich feedback that would empower English and Maths learners.

What is this about and what were the main findings:

The project consulted with learners to ascertain whether their proposed approach to gamifed feedback would be welcomed. They used Nearpod to create collaborative boards, quizzes and annotations. The focus moved from what the learner 'didn’t know' to what they 'did know' and had achieved with instant feedback. The project reported that the approach had led to an improvement in student scoring and attendance, and positive feedback on their engagement with the experience.
