A case study of a project that developed collaborative working practices between colleges in a regional setting, to improve learner attainment in English and relevant skills within the study programme.
This project aimed to develop a pan-London community of practitioners willing to identify and share resources and practices to support all learners in the collaborating colleges, to promote higher achievement through improved assessment and embedding English in the vocational curriculum.
Areas of good practice in teaching, learning, and assessment were identified that could be developed to become outstanding practice and, areas that needed to improve. Practitioners gained opportunities to engage in CPD, build positive collaborative relationships, and developed skills to provide constructive feedback. Staff confidence to share and develop resources for outstanding TLA was also increased.
