The aim was to investigate the impact of technology on learning within FE classrooms, through examining current use and barriers, with the ultimate intent to identify potential solutions and opportunities for further use.

What is this about and what were the main findings: 

 

The researcher gathered a rich picture of the access to mobile devices that learners and practitioners participating in the study possessed. All of the surveyed tutors had used technology in class by using the web, but learners felt that the use of technology as a learning tool carried risks, such as them becoming overly dependent on the technology, or distracted by it.
