In this module, learners are reminded of the importance of health and safety and have opportunities to practise strategies for reading, listening to and understanding a wide range of written and graphical information, including signs and symbols, using equipment and understanding safety data sheets. One of three modules support the teaching of Catering. The 3 modules do not supply a complete programme of learning. Instead, aspects of the training that place a particular demand on literacy, language and numeracy skills have been prioritised.
