Principal focus of the project:

The principal focus for this action research project was the production and use of resources in an interactive format, including hyperlinks, videos, presentations, interactive PDFs, and online tutorials. These included tasks and activities designed to encourage learners to practice key study skills using core curriculum content. These were presented to first, second, and third year students of foundation degrees who then completed a survey to record learner feedback and reactions.

What is this about and what were the main findings:

The action research found that there was a positive reaction to the interactive learning elements from a majority of the users, both from staff and learners, with 75% reporting they would be likely to use the resources if available. The survey also found that the learners and staff reported an even spread of skills perceived to be enhanced by the use of the resources, covering critical thinking skills, planning their writing, referencing, and study skills as the most enhanced.
