Principal focus of the project:

The focus of this project was using action research to measure the effectiveness of a basic teacher toolkit of strategies to facilitate adult learning, delivered through an online training course. In order to assess the impact of online learning on achieving individual training goals, levels of participation, engagement and learning were used as a basis for analysis.

What is this about and what were the main findings:

Participating teachers observed that the flexible time frame of the training enhanced its accessibility, with none of the participants requesting any support or feedback for the duration. The study also found that there were benefits for financial savings and scaleability, although these were not explicit goals of the project. The study concluded that the programme was a viable alternative to the standard delivery model.
