    The project focused on improving the delivery and assessment of Functional Skills maths within the vocational areas of hairdressing and beauty therapy, developing an effective tracking system for learner progress against milestones within the hairdressing and beauty therapy framework, and creating a robust system for the observation of teaching, learning and assessment with a strong focus on tutor ownership.

    What is this about and what were the main findings: 

    The project found that the research and training activities led to increased communication and sharing of effective practice, improved maths delivery and impact on learners (including higher functional skills maths achievment rates), and increased motivation and inspiration for both educators and learners.
