STAR (Training and Consultancy) Ltd is a small private training provider specialising in training school support staff, . As public funding for this provision has reduced the company looked at how to expand their full-cost provision. They developed a distance learning delivery model, which reduced the cost of provision and therefore the course fees. All staff were trained to market and respond to employer and learner requests for commercial training. Various methods of marketing were trialled and their website was updated to enable users to navigate it more easily and make enquiries online.
