This resource comprises materials relating to a workshop aiming to emphasise how a whole organisation approach is key to the effective application of safeguarding practice, and to raise awareness of providers' obligations under safeguarding legislation. The resource relates to the legislation that was introduced in October 2009. Specifically, the materials aim to: introduce the legislation and policy; identify the importance of creating a whole organisation approach; raise awareness of the new Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) and its implications; and raise awareness of the inspection evaluation requirements relating to safeguarding.
