Through this project, the college developed 'FutureProof' - an innovative programme of embedded tutorials and ‘Green Group’ activities, achieved through staff groups, curriculum and enrichment programmes to develop and embed a whole organisational approach to sustainability within the curriculum, the College, the local community and the wider FE sector. The project focused on creating tutorial resources relating to sustainability; developing and sustaining a student Green Group as part of the College’s student enrichment programme; harnessing curriculum content to support a whole-organisational approach to sustainability; engaging with expertise from within the community and FE sector; running sustainability events that involve the local community and businesses; developing staff and student skills; and putting sustainability at the heart of curriculum development.
